Call for papers - Special issue of "Security and Trust for a Safe and Secure Digital Society"
Editorial Committee of the Journal of Information Processing
Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of “Security and Trust for a Safe and Secure Digital Society”.
This special issue, titled "Security and Trust for a Safe and Secure Digital Society," focuses on computer security, privacy, and trust that are essential for realizing a safe and secure digital society. We particularly welcome papers that adopt a human-centered research approach. Specifically, the scope includes, but is not limited to: studies on the usability of implementing and deploying fundamental information security technologies such as cryptography and privacy enhancing technologies (PETs); investigations into human perception, decision-making, and behavioral characteristics regarding security and privacy; examination of new risks, ethical challenges, and their solutions arising from the development of the digital society; and research contributing to the formation of new trust paradigms assumed in a digital society.
Submissions from a wide range of fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), data science, robotics, virtual reality (VR), media communication, service design, ethics, and legislation, or papers that have the potential for application to these fields are encouraged.
In addition to research papers, we also encourage Systematization of Knowledge (SoK) papers.
The objective of this special issue is to advance a comprehensive understanding of security, privacy, trust, and human factors through these wide-ranging studies, and to foster discussions that contribute to building a better relationship between technology and society.
Original papers, as well as papers that have been presented at domestic and international workshops, symposiums, and conferences, will be welcomed.
