Call for papers - Special issue of "Internet and Operational Technologies with Brilliant Techniques for Future Management"

February 12, 2025
Editorial Committee of the Journal of Information Processing

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of "Internet and Operational Technologies with Nice Techniques for Future Management". In the technology area after post-COVID-19 pandemic, generative AI has reached a level where it is being commonly used, and AI-related topic occupies a significant space in society. Even in the realm of operational management technology, innovation has advanced to the extent that generative AI can now write parts of network configurations. On the other hand, when we look at Digital Transformation (DX), no-code and low-code development environments have enabled people who previously did not write programs to advance system development. Although it has become easier than ever to manage operations, reliance on "human" is still seen in many situations. This is because information generated by generative AI also contains low-reliability information due to hallucinations, making human involvement in management and operations still essential.
This special issue focuses on the challenges and initiatives of nice operational management technologies that lead to the happiness of operators and administrators, and finally to the happiness of users. We will publish papers on the latest research, development, experiment, and operation to implement and utilize future infrastructure systems. We evaluate papers that solve problems in practice rather than in theory and are considered useful in other environments. The special issue aims to contribute to the evolution of various operation technologies related to information systems. The topics of interest include, but not limited to:

・Technology for system operation, management, monitoring, control, or troubleshooting
・Technology for controlling security in system operation and management
・Education of human resources in system operation and management
・Other topics related to system operation and management, RDM or ICT

We invite Kazuhiro MISHIMA of Osaka Kyoiku University as the guest editor for the special issue.
